HSMG 240 - Digital Event Production


Course examines the strategy and key components unique to virtual event production, including introduction to industry terminology, lighting and camera integration, production planning, and aligning guest experience to meet event objectives. Use of production schedules, program development, and running commentary will be utilized for live and scripted event engagement. Students will study current technology platforms and services specific to event delivery. This course will require access to a modern computer and high-speed internet connection. The computer will be expected to run most elements of the Adobe Creative Cloud and streaming platforms like OBS. As technical requirements for these constantly change, it is in the student's best interest to download and test the software before the course starts. Success in the course will require these elements. Typically offered Fall.
