LITR 242 - American Popular Literature


In order to read, understand, enjoy, and reflect upon American popular literature (including genres such as science fiction, detective, spy and mystery stories, love stories, western, historical and adventure fiction, and success stories), students will explore recurring themes, images, symbols, influences, and ideas. Students will interact with literature, the instructor, and classmates through analyses, interactive activities, observations, discussions, and research.
