MATH 307 - Elem School Mathematics 3


This course is designed for prospective elementary teachers. The mathematical knowledge for this course includes the geometric attributes, definitions, classification of two- and three-dimensional shapes (e.g. number of sides or faces) along with geometric measurements of these shapes (e.g area, volume), and the coordinate system. The pedagogical aspect of the course focuses on the problem-solving process, peer review and studying student work. Typically offered Fall, Spring.
