MGMT 756 - Lean Product Development


This course will focus on the steps involved in the design and implementation of new products within an organization employing the practices of Lean techniques. The premise of the class will involve students understanding the concepts of waste in a system as it applies to new product development and the pitfalls to avoid in the design and launch of new products. The discussion portion of the class will also involve looking at supplier's involvement, the use of technology, and the effect on the Lean culture. Typically offered Fall, Spring, Summer.
