NURS 611 - Teach Methods in Nursing Educ


This course provides the graduate nursing student an overview of the nurse educator role. Students will examine a variety of teaching and learning theories, with an emphasis on the learner-centered philosophy. A wide selection of instructional methodologies appropriate for the higher education setting and staff development will be examined. These methods will be analyzed within the context of nursing education and emerging health care mandates. Students will also examine methods of learning assessment and program evaluation based on current educational and nursing research. Typically offered Fall.
