SPAN 323 - Survey of Spanish Literature


The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the most representative written works of Spanish literature. Students will acquire essential literary terminology, as well as the key historical background to understand the various literary movements, works, and genres. Students will explore the topics and content through reading and writing, lectures, interactions with the instructor and classmates, interpretation, analyses, collaborative activities, discussions, and research projects to connect literature as one of the components of the language learning experience. Meets General Education requirements for Culture and Global Diversity. Typically offered Fall, even years.
