SPAN 331 - Contemp Culture-Soc of SpainThe purpose of this course is an examination of diverse manifestations of Spanish cultures throughout history and the present day. Students will develop an understanding of various aspects of Spanish culture by studying its most significant political and historical events and examining its most representative works of art, architecture, and literature. Students will explore the topics and content through reading and writing, lectures, interactions with the instructor and classmates, interpretation, analyses, collaborative activities, discussions, and research projects to connect the diversity of Spanish culture as one of the components of the language learning experience. This course meets General Education requirements: Global Consciousness; Cultural Enrichment and new Fall 2017 Culture and Global Diversity.
