SPAN 333 - Contemp Cult-Soc Hispan Americ


The purpose of this course is to help students understand and develop analytical skills to better understand the rich cultural diversity and complexity of Hispanic America. The course uses a multidisciplinary approach to the region's social, economic, political, religious, and cultural structures and practices. Students will explore the topics and content through reading and writing, lectures, interactions with the instructor and classmates, interpretation, analyses, collaborative activities, discussions, and research projects to connect the diversity of Hispanic American cultures as one of the components of the language learning experience.
