EXSI 300 - Foundations of Exercise Physiology


This course introduces students to the scientific basis of exercise and athletic performance. Students will study the human body's physiological adaptation to external stressors such as work, exercise, and environmental conditions. Emphasis is placed on understanding the basic principles of bio energetics as well as circulatory, respiratory, and neuromuscular responses to the physical stress of exercise. This information will be directly related health and fitness of athletes, non-athletes, and special populations.  Typically offered in Fall and Spring.
