AUTO 119 - Introduction to High Voltage Vehicle Service


This technician-focused course covers the differences between conventional vehicle service and electrified vehicle service. The course covers AC theory and reviews some DC theory and identifies proper high voltage safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment. Where high voltage will be encountered on different models, how to safely service other systems, and what safety systems are in place will also be covered. Applicable standards will be presented to ensure that students have a working knowledge of industry standards for electrified vehicles and their service procedures. Typically offered in Fall, offered in Spring as needed.
