OSCM 300 - Strategic Sourcing and Procurement


Developing an efficient and collaborative supplier network that effectively supports an organization is essential in creating a competitive strategy. In this course, students will learn how to acquire, source, negotiate, and manage goods/services contracts that fulfill organization objectives. Additionally, students will develop the skills and knowledge to develop supplier assessment & performance models. The topics of value creation, vertical integration, customer and supplier segmentation and spend analysis will be examined as approaches to elevate an organization's operations. Supplier QCD modeling, procurement related process improvement, and facilitating sustainable supplier relationships will be analyzed as methods to optimize the supplybase.
