OSCM 405 - Lean Culture, Coaching and Leadership


The combination of a continuous improvement attitude, respect for people and resilient leadership are essential to an organization's adoption and process improvement success. In this course, students will learn how to implement the lean systems that create an employee-centric culture, increases team morale and enhances process excellence and sustains an optimal organization's operations. Experiential learning will provide students opportunities to evaluate an organization's current training system and apply a "train-the-trainer program using the Training Within Industry (TWI) framework. By the end of this course, students will be skilled at using lean principles and coaching techniques that support continuous learning, kata, cross-functional training, A3development, TWI, strategic development and deployment.  Typically Offered in Fall, Spring and Summer
