BIOL 475 - BioinformaticsA study of the interface between biotechnology and information technology. Primary focus will be placed on the use of nucleic acid and protein databases to accurately and efficiently analyze genomic and proteomic data. Secondary focus will be placed on investigation of the modern techniques of molecular biology (DNA and RNA sequencing, microarrays, chromatin conformation analysis) used to produce genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic data.
