FREN 301 - Advanced French 1


The purpose of this course is to strengthen students' communicative abilities in French in the four language skills essential to everyday communication: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as to enhance the students' knowledge of the French-speaking world cultures and societies. Classroom activities and homework are designed to help students build their oral proficiency, expand and perfect vocabulary knowledge and grammatical structures, improve reading and writing skills, to develop critical thinking, and gain cultural competency. Throughout the semester students will research and analyze different types of authentic texts in French and produce written assignments. This course meets General Education requirements: Cultural Enrichment, new Fall 2017 Culture. Typically Offered Spring Only.
