GEOG 421 - National Parks of the World


Study and description of the natural history and economic development of the earth's unique natural wonders. Emphasis on understanding physical processes in creating the park features, problems of human use, and protection in the emerging global economy. Photography and maps used to aid appreciation. This course meets General Education requirements: Global Consciousness, Social Awareness and new Fall 2017 Global Diversity, and Self and Society. Recommended one prior Social Awareness course.
