HIST 259 - Women's Global Activism


Course examines origins of women's social and political activism at local, national, and global levels.Emphasis will be placed on nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Global arenas of activism will explore issuessuch as labor, health and reproductive rights, peace movements, environmentalism, ethnic cleansing, and human trafficking. This course meets General Education requirements: Cultural Enrichment, Global Consciousness and Race/Ethnicity/Gender Issues, and new Fall 2017 Culture, Global Diversity and US Diversity.
