ISIN 409 - Network Forensics and Analysis


This course examines the underlying theory of networking protocols and the most prevalent application protocols. Students will apply forensic packet and protocol analysis to understand common protocols, their usage, network intrusions, covert tunneling, protocol and traffic anomalies, and other current and common network attack vectors/security events. Network analysis, log correlation and other forensics strategies will be applied to identify, investigate, protect, detect, respond and recover from network intrusions and attacks.
