KCMI 205 - Life Sciences Illustration I


This course will introduce students to 2-dimensional media (both analog and digital) as a method for conveying complex life science and medical concepts to specific audiences. Black and white media will be used with an emphasis on the process (research, sketching, concept art, etc.) of creating a final rendering. Industry standard software, such as Photoshop and Illustrator will be utilized. Elements of health literacy, layout, and cognitive load will also be introduced.
