SOCY 341 - Community Studies


Sociological theories and research are used to analyze a variety of communities, including communes, prisons, villages, neighborhoods, and metropolitan areas. Students will use surveys, interviews, and participant observation in selected west Michigan communities. This course meets General Education requirements: Social Awareness, Race/Ethnicity/Gender Issues and new Fall 2017 US Diversity and Self and Society. Typically Offered Fall Only
