SPAN 302 - Advanced Spanish 2This course is the continuation of Advanced Spanish 1 (SPAN 301) and seeks to continue strengthening students' communicative abilities in Spanish in the four language skills essential to everyday communication: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as to enhance the students' knowledge of Spanishspeaking world cultures and societies with an emphasis on Spanish and their specific professional fields. Classroom activities and homework are designed to help students build their oral proficiency, expand, and refine vocabulary knowledge and grammatical structures, improve reading and writing skills, to develop critical thinking, and gain cultural competency. Throughout the semester students will research and analyze different types of authentic texts in Spanish and produce expositive and argumentative written assignments. This course meets General Education requirements: Global Consciousness; Cultural Enrichment, and new Fall 2017 Culture and Global Diversity. Typically Offered Spring only.
