SPAN 430 - Business Spanish


This course provides students with a working knowledge of business-related Spanish vocabulary, cultural practices, and cultural competencies to effectively navigate the Spanish-speaking business world. The course will incorporate a variety of learning strategies, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities, discussions, presentations, translation and interpretation activities, role-plays, and cross-cultural analysis. Various sources of information will be utilized throughout the course, including books, videos, magazines, online newspapers, social media, and guest speakers familiar with the domestic and/or international Spanish-speaking marketplace. This course meets General Education requirements Cultural Enrichment and Global Consciousness and new Fall 2017 Culture and Global Diversity. Typically offered in Spring.
