ESPN 338 - Transition Planning Students with Special Needs


Students in this course will examine legislation and recommended practices related to person-centered transition planning for students with disabilities. Students will apply knowledge of disabilities to explore transition needs for students in the areas of post-school and adult life, including postsecondary education, employment, community participation, and independent living. Additionally, students will explore how students with disabilities have been viewed in society; gaining an understanding of state initiatives, community trends and resources, and professional organizations and networks related to secondary transition. Typically offered in Fall and Spring
