LEAD 299 - Leadership Capstone

The Leadership Capstone course offers students an opportunity to generate critical thinking, reflection, and leadership development. The design of the course works to increase the impact and effectiveness of a student's leadership skills by requiring engaged discussions and the practice of personal reflection. Throughout the semester, students will draw upon their experiences to create a definition of leadership- explaining how it has evolved over time. This capstone course requires that students apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills associated with strong leadership into a Leadership Capstone project - showing leadership theory, practice, and application. Students develop an initiative for a profession-centered project (work- profession, community-based, or university-based). The Leadership Capstone project is an action-based leadership project.
