PHAR 811 - Community APPE


This course will provide the student an opportunity to refine basic and develop advanced skills needed for the delivery of patient-centered pharmacy services in the community setting. The student will develop competency in the following critical elements: communication with practitioners and patients, assessment and monitoring of drug therapy, health promotion, disease state management, patient education and effective pharmacy management. Students must successfully pass and complete all required P1-P3 major requirement courses, didactic elective course requirements, co-curricular assignments, and patient care skills passport assessments to enroll in this course. Typically offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
