SSCI 499 - Social Studies Education Capstone


This class is the capstone course for Social Studies Education students, taken just prior to student teaching. Students will become familiar with the State of Michigan standards for students in grades 6-8 and 9-12 in the fields of history, geography, civics, and economics and will learn how to employ appropriately differentiated instructional strategies to teach and assess these standards. In addition, students will learn how to employ inquiry-based design techniques and civic take-action projects using the C3 (College, Career & Civic Life) framework. Typically offered: Fall and Spring
