SOCY 270 - Sociological Theory This course grounds students in the general application of sociological theory as an analytical framework for scientific empirical observation. Builds on general theoretical framework introduced in SOCY 121 or SOCY 122 . This course moves students to use sociological theory as a tool for organizing knowledge. Students are challenged to make use of their knowledge of theory to do sociology. The concentrations of race, ethnicity, gender and community are also linked to the theoretical frameworks considered.
