AMGT 360 - Automotive Culture This course examines the automobile’s profound effect on Twentieth Century American culture. For Americans, the car has been this century’s dominant symbol - representing freedom, affluence, and power - and the course examines this symbolism. The automobile is also an art form, and the course probes this dimension. Most significantly, the automobile has reshaped American society, and the course studies these effects while also looking at changes likely for the future.
