CHEM 122 - General Chemistry 2 Continuation of CHEM 121 , including oxidation-reduction reactions, electrochemistry, chemical equilibrium, chemical kinetics, nuclear chemistry, thermodynamics, and descriptive chemistry of metals and nonmetals. Laboratory will involve some experiments illustrating topics discussed in lecture along with several sessions devoted to the qualitative analysis of common cations and anions. Is a prerequisite for most 200-level or higher classes in chemistry. This course meets General Education requirements: Scientific Understanding, Lab and new Fall 2017 Natural Sciences and Naturals Sciences Lab. Typically Offered Spring, Summer Level: UG Credit Hours: 5
