CRIM 302 - Creating Safe Schools

This course will enhance awareness and understanding of research regarding school violence, current statistics, laws, critical issues and effective approaches in managing violence. Students will gain insight and develop strategies to prevent violence and promote safe schools. Identification of characteristics of potentially violent situations and the role of educators in the development and implementation of policies and procedures will be explored.
