EDUC 261 - Children’s Healthy Living This course is designed to assist students in understanding and developing a healthy lifestyle which includes social emotional needs, physical activity, movement, visual, and performing arts to support the whole child. Develop an understanding how health and physical fitness can be useful tools or strategies to promote student learning and developing positive behaviors and attitudes. Understand how play assists in the learning process at all ages. Understand how to promote physical and psychological health of children, including safety, sense of security, and emotional distress, and its impact on learning. Typically offered Fall, Spring.
