BIOL 450 - Medical Botany Medical Botany explores the intersection of medicine and botany, utilizing integrative and comparative approaches to critically analyze medical systems, understand how plants produce compounds of medical interest, how medicines work in the human body, and how diagnosticians view health and disease. Medical botany will help prepare students going into medical careers understand the benefits, dangers, and history of this fundamental basis for medicine by exploring past and present treatment options.
