ENGL 323 - Proposal Writing


To prepare students for effective proposal writing, this course examines how to apply for sponsored project funds. Students investigate the skills and techniques needed for locating appropriate funding sources and organizing and writing formal proposals to meet funding requirements and philosophies of grant sponsors. Students develop proposal-writing skills through individual and collaborative writing assignments, grant analysis, preliminary proposal planning, and completion of a proposal-driven project. Meets General Education requirements for Written Communication. Pre-Requisites: ENGL 250   or ENGL 211   with a grade of C or better.
