HVAC 342 - Load Analysis-Energy Modeling


Complete heat loss and gain calculations for commercial and industrial buildings will be performed manually and through currently available computer software. Student will layout and design systems for maximum energy efficiency. Energy estimating methods will be studied and an analysis of an actual building using the Performance Rating Method as described in ASHRAE Standard 90.1 appendix G. Current federal, state and local codes and standards will be examined as they apply to HVAC systems. Typically Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer.
