PHAR 593 - Medication Distrib Comm IPPE The Medication Distribution Community Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience course is designed to integrate skills learned in the classroom with foundational medication use process functions of a community pharmacist. This includes dispensing, interpersonal communication, calculations and application of non-prescription medicines and self-care. Students will begin to apply standards, guidelines, best practices, and established processes for safe and effective medication use in the community setting. It is expected that this introductory course will begin to prepare the student with the foundational elements necessary to practice patient-centered pharmacy care in the community setting.
