PHAR 651 - Introduction to Public Health


In this introductory course, students will be exposed to the basic principles of public health and the public health delivery system. The students will learn about the pharmacist’s role as a public health professional and how pharmacists, as the most accessible, approachable and accepted health professional, can improve the public’s health. As part of the course, students will be expected to design and implement a community public health educational campaign project.
