PHAR 757 - Advance Card Life Support This course is designed to provide the student with training and education to assist with a patient requiring advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). This includes basic life support, use of adjunctive equipment and special techniques for establishing and maintaining effective ventilation and circulation, electrocardiographic (ECG) monitoring and arrhythmia recognition, establishment and maintenance of IV access, therapies for emergency treatment for cardiac and respiratory arrests, and treatment of patients with suspected acute myocardial infarction or stroke.
