PHIL 305 - Feminist and Gender Theory


The course surveys theories of feminism and gender and their cultural contexts by reading and studying many of the most important feminist and gender philosophers and political and cultural writers. Study will include issues of race, sexuality, power, class and social construction. This course meets General Education requirements Race/Ethnicity/Gender Issues and Cultural Enrichment, and new Fall 2017 Culture and US Diversity.Typically Offered Winter Only, Odd Years.
