RMIN 489 - Risk and Insurance Seminar


Description: Employing a high degree of practical activity, role plays, discussion, and research, this course teaches the aspects of information gathering, evaluation, analysis, and proposal development which are common to the risk management and insurance field. Students are provided practical experience working as a part of a team to create and present persuasive proposals (both written and oral) that reflect real-world risk and insurance scenarios. The course also explores current industry issues and practices critical thinking, problem-solving, ethics, communication, persuasion, negotiation, and data analytics techniques that are common in the insurance industry. Typically offered: Spring.
