SCJS 491 - Social Justice Internship

The purpose of the internship is to provide students with an understanding of how nonprofit and/or governmental organizations work and to allow students to gain hands-on experience in the internship(s) of their choice. Though some students may choose to wait until their last semester to undertake an internship, the internship can be repeated (1 credit per 40-hour internship) for up to three credits, which allows students to undertake an internship early in their program to help determine their interests. The internship also allows students to apply what they have learned in their courses to real-world issues. Typically offered Fall, Spring.
