SCWK 350 - Social Work Research I


Introduction to research in human service and public services settings, with a focus on program evaluation and single subject research. Students will learn to critically analyze and evaluate research; the importance of ethics in research; the research process, including the literature review, research paradigms and theories; and an introduction to methods, including qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods. This course uses the lens of social justice to teach students to become aware of the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in social research. Typically offered: Fall and Spring.
