SPAN 101 - Beginning Spanish 1 This course is the continuation of Beginning Spanish 1 (SPAN 101) and seeks to continue the development of the four language skills essential to everyday communication: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as to enhance knowledge of cultural practices and historical events from the Spanish-speaking world. This course continues providing the foundational abilities for learning Spanish and related intercultural competencies through interactive activities that foster the acquisition of vocabulary and grammar concepts, as well as meaningful communication skills through authentic texts needed for day-to-day interactions with native speakers. This course meets General Education requirements: Global Consciousness; Cultural Enrichment and new Fall 2017 Global Diversity and Culture. Typically Offered Fall, Spring. Level: UG Credit Hours: 4
