SPAN 491 - Internship in Spanish This course is designed to develop students’ hands-on experience in occupational proficiency and intercultural competencies in their non-Spanish primary or secondary area(s). Students will be required to meet with a faculty mentor who will approve and monitor the internship in an organization that works closely with the Spanish speaking community in the U.S. or a Spanish-speaking country abroad. Each student will create a set of personal outcomes, and sample materials, as well as present a final portfolio that highlights the gained intercultural competencies and occupational proficiency in the language. Typically offered Fall, Spring, Summer. Level: UG Credit Hours: 3
