EAET 301 - Controls for Automation A second course that builds on principles taught in EAET-201 and applies them to industrial automation systems. Sensor and actuator control elements are presented. Ladder diagrams and fluid power symbology are emphasized. Solenoids, starters, timers, counters, relays, contactors, heaters, motors, 3-phase power, PLC’s, and other I/O devices are discussed and applied to manufacturing applications. Safety standards and other system integration issues are presented. Level: UG Credit Hours: 3
