SENG 325 - Chatbot Applications Modern chatbots use a combination of techniques from artificial intelligence and programming to respond to user queries with answers that can either be predefined or generative. The course covers underlying technology behind chatbot implementation including large language models (LLM) built on deepneural networks (DNN) and machine learning pipelines. Students learn fundamentals of how chatbots work, best practices to use them for daily industry use cases via prompt engineering techniques, and use of chatbots and other large models’ applications of domain specific use cases.
