ARCH 244 - Global History of Architecture 1 Through the study of architecture and urbanism from prehistory to the 19th century, with a global perspective, students learn to see at different scales (material, structure, infrastructure, and cityscape), and to understand a diversity of buildings and architectural representations in terms of their social, cultural, and disciplinary significance.
