CHEM 211 - Fund Organic-Polymer Chemistry Introduction to the functional group approach to cover structures, preparations, and reactions of important commercial organic compounds. Includes the study of polymerization processes, addition polymers, the stereochemistry of polymers, copolymers, condensation polymers, and the structure and properties of polymers. Concurrent laboratory sessions include exercises in basic lab techniques, demonstrations, and workshops. Designed for students majoring in plastics. This course meets General Education requirements: Scientific Understanding, Lab, and new Fall 2017 Natural Sciences and Natural Sciences Lab. Typically Offered Spring Only Level: UG Credit Hours: 4
