CHEM 442 - Fermentation Analysis


A survey of the analytical chemical and biological methods used in monitoring and maintaining a fermentation production facility. Topics will include assessment of raw materials, in-stream production monitoring, post production analysis and adherence to style guidelines, industry standards (ASBC Methods of Analysis), and product stability. Concurrent laboratory sessions will include experiments illustrating the principles discussed in lecture. Typically offered Fall.
