COHP 102 - Safety Issues in Health Care

This course will address the following subjects relative to the workplace: potential chemical and physical hazards, rights and responsibilities of employers and employees under OSHA, and the Joint Commission, the need for documentation and reporting of hazard activities, hazard communication plans, emergency preparedness (fire, tornadoes, chemical spills, etc.), ergonomic risks, and roles and responsibilities of environmental services. Typically offered in Fall, Spring and Summer.
