EDPH 521 - Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector

This course is an overview of the purpose, structure, size and scope of the nonprofit sector. Especially designed for educators, it will briefly cover the philosophical, social, religious and historic origins of the sector in the American Democracy. The economic, social and political effects of the sector will be explored in depth. Typically offered Spring.
