LITR 231 - Poetry


In order to read, understand, enjoy, and reflect upon poetry, students will be introduced to major poetic modes and conventions; and the ways in which poetry creates sensory, emotional, imaginative and intellectual experiences for themselves and others. Students will interact with literature, the instructor, and classmates through quizzes, exams, class discussions, presentations, journal entries, blogs, worksheets, and/or papers.
